I. LOVE. THIS. GIRL. I have made a pact. I cannot die before I meet her. I have to meet her. Angela Gomez has helped me through every heartbreak, threatened to punch every guy who broke my heart, and even though we aren’t getting married any time very soon, we HAVE decided to attend each other’s weddings, it’s mandatory. She is also my style inspiration. Have you seen her blog? Man, I hate her.
Q1. What’s the most unique and interesting way you have ever made a friend?
Hmm, probably my pen pal friend who is asking me these questions. The rest of the people I have met so far was in an ordinary way but a pen pal friend who has been there for me for years, yet I haven’t met her in person. (I must interject Me me me! She is talking about me. We met on MySpace and we have been friends for over eight years. Yayyy!)
Q2. A place you wish you could travel to but haven’t been able to?
Well, it’s pretty funny but it would be Japan. I work with a Japanese travel agency and have learned lots of things about Japan but I haven’t been there and it’s the place that I’ve wanted to visit since I was little. (I must interject again: Her dream recently came true)
Q3. How do you handle stress?
Pretty bad… I’m a person who’s usually very nervous and I get stressed very easily… I normally can’t sleep well or have an excruciating stomach ache.
Q4. What’s the funniest thing your dog has ever done?
My dog’s name is Aspen, I’ve had him for almost 6 years (in April, he will be 6). The funniest thing he has done was when one day we were making lunch and we were doing beans. So I put two plates on the table and then I went to the kitchen (the table was close to the sofa). When I returned with a third plate full of beans, I found Aspen over the table with his whiskers full of beans and one of this paws in the other plate. At that moment I was really mad at him, but now that I remember that incident, I find it funny.
Q5. What are the challenges of being a successful blogger?
The main challenge is that you are exposed to everyone—anyone can see you and comment anything they want. I had this follower who would post sexual and rude comments. At first, I thought of shutting down the blog, but then I realized that the best thing to do was to ignore him and that’s what I did. After a while, he stopped commenting. In the end, you never know who is following you and their negativity can sometimes be very toxic.
